Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week has yet again come to an end… And how was it you ask? Fun. And rainy I think would best describe the experience during the last couple of days. It’s always such a dream to attend these shows that I’ve dreamt about ever since I was a teenager and to see creations and pieces by there houses in real life. So yes, it’s most definitely a dream. But it was also very cold and rainy… Which always make the days a little bit harder to navigate (especially when the brand maybe wants you to wear a dress for the occasion). However the sun decided to make an appearance just as I was entering the Dior venue – like most other years in fact. We always joke about Dior being so lucky with the weather and the sky always turning blue right as the show is about to start.

One of the highlights during Paris Fashion Week (among many others) is always the Roger Vivier presentation. I wish you could all see it in real life because it’s so imaginative, creative, fun and playful. I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of work and preparation that goes into such an event like this…

I also got to discover the newest Louis Vuitton fragrance. If you’ve been following along here during the last couple of months, I visited their property in Grasse during the summer, where the perfume is created for the third time and after living such a special experience I really have a soft spot for the process and where these beautiful products come from. This latest addition to the Louis Vuitton fragrance family is called Heures d’Absence and smells just absolutely lovely. We discovered it on top of the rooftop of the Louis Vuitton headquarters (I mean if you would have told me this sentence when I was 14 I think I would have fallen off my chair in excitement and disbelief), followed by a special dinner at the Ritz.

I rarely like to attend any show looking too dressed up. I guess you can ask me why and we can continue down this path leading to questions about self love and self-esteem but hey, I’ll save that for my therapist, haha. But when I got the opportunity to wear this dress for the day by Ralph & Russo, I couldn’t pass up that chance and decided to wear my evening gown/very fancy nightie to meetings and their show at 2pm on a Friday. I mean, we only live once right? And it’s more fun to do it in a satin gown in Paris.

This week was also very special as I got to attend my very first Hermès show. Again, another sentence that would have taken my breath away if you would have ever allowed me to peek into the future as a teenager. And it was everything I wanted it to be and more. Elegant yet cool, timeless yet modern and so chic yet casual. It was just a moment I won’t forget anytime soon. Here above you can see some of the highlights from the re-see I went to the day after in order to see the garments up close and personal. And I can’t even believe I’ve written 5 sentences so far without mentioning the cutest thing in this whole post probably?! Can we just take a minute to appreciate this adorable little Picnic Kelly bag by Hermès. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything cuter.

Do you remember these shoes?! I wore them for my last birthday and therefore they’ll always be know as my “birthday shoes”. I love them to bits and I can’t help but to look down at my feet non stop every time I get to wear them. I don’t believe I’ve worn this much pink since I was about 9 but I kind of loved it. But the Rochas show deserves a little bit of pink!

A highlight (but I don’t even feel as thought the word does this occasion justice) was the Maison Valentino show. But how could it not be? It’s always so beautiful, almost unreal and every time I get the opportunity to attend one of these shows, I get so many butterflies in my stomach. It’s so special. This time they had a live orchestra playing as the looks walked down the runway and I would easily have wanted the show to last for 2 hours as I couldn’t get enough of this moment…
