Paris on Film
As soon as the lockdown was eased in Paris I went back to taking long walks again and it felt so good to finally be able to walk further than 1km! I won’t even get into all the complicated feelings and emotional ups and downs this lockdown and the first couple of week of being able to go outside again have brought on (that would require several posts and most likely a lot of incoherent babbling) but one thing that I’m absolutely in love with is how empty Paris was during the first couple of weeks of more freedom. I am realising that this might be the only time we get to experience this city without tourists absolutely everywhere and it’s kind of incredible. I’ve walked by the Louvre multiple times during the last couple of weeks now and found myself almost completely alone… How many times will that ever happen again? So I wanted to capture this on film before it’s gone.
Of course I can’t even imagine how much businesses, restaurants and cafés must be suffering due to this and my heart goes out to all of them and I truly hope that they’ll survive these challenging times.
