Sister Swims

After living all over the place, going back and forth between other places and Sweden since we both basically turned 20, my sister and I don’t really get to spend that much time together. Before it didn’t really cross my mind too much but the older we’ve gotten, the closer we’ve become and the harder it is to be apart – and the more I appreciate the time we get to spend together, when we’re finally in the same place. This year has made me realise many different things. One thing being how much family means to me and how happy I am that I have them. These days together were so wonderful and I wish we had them more often.

Another thing that I’ve learned growing older is that your relationship with your partner isn’t the only relationship that demands work and a lot of commitment from you. This also goes for family members (as I’m sure many of you already know). I’m so proud about the fact that my sister and I are determined to always work on our relationship together, even during the times when it’s less easy. We’re different as night and day, which is absolutely wonderful, but it also means that you have to work to understand each other at times. But I love our talks together, the moments when we laugh so much that we eventually start crying and the times when we can be there for each other when we’re going through times that feel so incredibly tough to get through.

I hope you know how much you mean to me Sara ♥
