Ahoy Sailor!
After 24 hours back in Paris, right after coming back from the most amazing Morocco trip ever, I booked a job together with Carolina Herrera in Barcelona and jumped on yet another plane, which made this my third destination in less than one week. I shot a very exciting editorial for the house of Herrera while in Barcelona (which you'll see more of towards this fall) but we also shot a few photos for another project on one of these beautiful boats that you can see here above. When photographing something and your deadline for delivery is the very next day you don't really get to sleep (eat or shower) at all but the good thing about that is that you're able to share your work straight after the shoot and don't have to sit around for weeks and weeks to see it being published. Speaking of that, I'll be sure to share a few pictures from that shoot with you very soon!
We also stayed in Barcelona to take part of the prestigious regatta race Puig Vela Clàssica that happened during these past days. After getting to know the boat, that we photographed the Carolina Herrera story on, talking to the crew and seeing these beautiful boats so up close and personal we couldn't leave without cheering them on as they took off for the first day of the race. People (and boats obviously) from all the world gathered in Barcelona for this unique opportunity and even though I'm not really good with boats (I unfortunately tend to suffer from motion sickness since a few years back...) I could appreciate them from the docks. I almost didn't make it off the boat in time for their departure but thank god that I did after seeing these photos from the actual race. Ahaha, I would have definitely freaked out just a tiny bit with those huge waves and strong winds. Thank you to Puig Vela Clàssicafor letting us stay and be a part of this special experience!
