Berluti
I never intended on sharing these photos from a recent job I photographed for Berluti this Friday (mostly because I had no idea how they would turn out since I've never shot men's fashion before) but it ended up being such a fun and exciting experience that I decided I had to share it with you as well.
I often say no to things that intimidate me or that I think I can't handle, which was exactly what I thought I would do when I got this job proposal from Berluti – I mean, I photograph pretty dresses, skirts and gorgeous heels and my photography isn't exactly known for being dark, strong and masculine... Right? But if you never try something new, you'll most likely never grow either. That last part is what made me say yes. I constantly want to learn new things, challenge myself and grow both as a person and as a photographer (don't mind the cheesiness here, please) and doing things that scare the cr*p out of me are most of the time quite healthy too.
After the show I realised that it's not so different from shooting women. And especially not when Berluti treated everyone to so many fantastic details – both on the clothing and the bodies (as you can see in the first pic). Also, the good part about photographing menswear is that you get to be surrounded by pretty boys all day... I'm just sayin'!
